That's right, Sammy did 7 minutes total on the underwater treadmill! He did two 2 minute runs and one 3 minute run. He could barely make it to the car afterwards. But in true lab spirit, he loved the water tank. He met a younger black lab who has a lame back right leg also. If we market them as a pair, they'd have 4 healthy legs between the two of them. Here he is resting between his three "laps" on the treadmill. Notice the steamed window where he had been panting. He loved having the attention of three people (me cheering him on outside of the tank, and the wonderful people at Thera-Vet. His favorite part (besides the ride in the car), was getting toweled off.
Tomorrow we're off to Petco for adoption days.
