You may be wondering why I love this black lab so much, devote so much time to him, and don't adopt him. . . it's because I have one heck of a dog aggressive miniature schnauzer mix. He's my own personal rescue dog, and it's taken 6 years to bring him to the state of being a dog rather than a beast. I work with a Cornell trained dog trainer with him, and he would make quick work of a 3 legged dog. So, while Sammy sits alone this morning in his pen, the lucky schnauzer is sleeping under the down comforter with me. I promise never to post another picture of Barkley (this is Sammy's blog) but he is my own personal rescue cause, and while my heart isn't full, sadly the position of alpha dog is taken.
